About Queen City Tennis Club

The Queen City Tennis Club (QCTC) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of tennis among gays, lesbians, bisexual, transgendered and questioning individuals in the Charlotte region.  While our focus is to provide a welcoming place for LGBTQ tennis players to enjoy the sport of tennis, we welcome everyone of all ages and skill levels.  Those under 18 must obtain the signed consent of a legal guardian.

QCTC has organized play on reserved courts every Sunday from 10 AM - 12 PM from April through October at Park Road Park.  Due to scheduled tournaments at Park Road, some Sundays we'll be at Alexander Street Park.  See the Tennis Calendar below to find out the correct location each Sunday.  Many members schedule more informal matches throught the week.  Members also participate in various USTA and Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) tournaments and leagues throughout the year, including the annual Carolina Cup where QCTC takes on the Triangle Tennis Club in a competetive but friendly tournament.

Besides tennis, the club organizes many social functions. Members typically go out to lunch as a group after tennis.  Other popular events have included holiday parties, cookouts, mountain trips, Grand Slam viewing parties, hiking, bowling, and bar nights.

Most of all, we just have a lot of fun!
